This complete unit teaches students how guidance from Knowledge Holders and family strengthens connections to Country and Place, enhancing wellbeing and safety, while highlighting the importance of family, community, and cultural practices in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identities. Students learn and demonstrate sun, water and local environment safety behaviours, understanding how responsible actions promote safety. In PE, they develop dodging, leaping, and striking skills and apply them in games that encourage enjoyment and physical activity. Students build self-management skills by learning to seek and respond to feedback.
