This makes a great addition to your primary spelling resources. I have created a set of spelling lists for each of the grades. This pack contains a set of activities for each spelling list.
· Instructions included in each of the sets of word lists
· On each page there is a new set of list words for you to practice (see the word list below)
· Firstly read each word in the word list
· Then copy and write each word 3 times
· Lastly, each letter has a value. Work out how much each word is worth using the table provided.
Week 1 Adding the prefix inter- (meaning ‘between’ or ‘among’)
Week 2 Adding the prefix anti- (meaning ‘against’)
Week 3 Adding the prefix auto- (meaning ‘self’ or ‘own’)
Week 4 Adding the prefix ex- (meaning ‘out’)
Week 5 Adding the prefix non- (meaning ‘not’ )
Week 6 Words ending in -ar/ -er
Week 7 Adding the suffix -ous (No change to root word)
Week 8 Adding the suffix -ous (No definitive root word)
Week 9 Adding the suffix -ous (Words ending in ‘y’ become ‘i’
and words ending in ‘our’ become ‘or’)
Week 10 Adding the suffix -ous (Words ending in ‘e’ drop the ‘e’but not ‘ge’)
