This sight word spinner activity uses a fidget spinner as a motivational tool while your students practice spelling words.

An instruction page and a score sheets are also included!

Boggle

This is a great timed game to use with your spelling words. It can be used with any spelling list. Set the timer or spinner and students use the attached scrabble like tiles to determine the total score of each spelling word. This can be adapted for use with student names to create a tally graph or pictogram of results

Categories

☀ You can play wthi with our without a timer (Time allocated is usually around 3-5 minutes)

☀ Fill in as many of the categories as you can with relevant words that start with the chosen letter.

☀For example... if the starting letter is "D" you might choose words such as dog, donut, Denmark, etc. 1 point is awarded for each correct word while 2 points is awarded for the use of an original word that no one else in the class uses.

☀Be as original as you can to get a higher score.

☀Agree on scoring rules first as there are a variety of different ways to score this game. ☀Add the total of your scores. Suggested lists are included in the set
